Project Manager/Estimator

S&S Builders, LLC is looking for an experienced individual to fill a project manager/estimator role.  This individual must be detail-oriented, organized and possess a variety of skills and knowledge.  Candidates must be able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications; have knowledge of building codes and construction standards; efficiently estimate quantities and costs; create and maintain schedules and budgets; and be able to communicate effectively with all members of the construction team.

Estimators are responsible for examining construction plans and specifications, performing accurate quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes for materials and subcontracted work, estimating self-performed work, submitting complete and accurate bids/proposals. Project Managers are responsible for assisting the admin team to setup awarded projects, working with supervisors to setup and manage project schedules, coordinate activities to obtain optimum efficiency, initiate and track correspondence including but not limited to RFI’s, change requests, delays, and other project related items.

- Process weekly, in-house, payroll, including withholdings, garnishments, and other deductions. Thoroughly review wages and deductions to ensure accuracy, balance accounts, and resolve discrepancies.

- Prepare weekly prevailing wage payroll reports and submit them to appropriate agency or prime contractor and prepare other related annual reports such as EEO-1 and EEO-2.

- Prepare federal and state weekly tax submissions, quarterly tax returns, and annual W2s.

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. Ensure employees are signed up for employee benefits in accordance with plan documents.

- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, local and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions.

- Engage in on-going benefits planning and administration and provide support to employees.

- Complete monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices.

- Prepare reports for audits, assist auditors as needed and manage annual audits of employee insurance policies and 401k plan.

- Collaborate with external benefit vendors and benefit plan administrators.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee payroll and benefits information.

- Generate and analyze payroll and benefits reports for management and other stakeholders.
