Who We Are
S S Builders, LLC has performed as a general contractor and subcontractor since 1982 in the Gillette, Wyoming area and in 1998 we added an office in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 1995 we began the process of becoming an employee owned company, as of 2007, S&S Builders, LLC is owned by 20 current employees. Our personnel have diverse backgrounds, and their various experiences provide us with a multitude of talents. We specialize in commercial and industrial concrete projects, design/build commercial buildings, land development, and commercial bid projects.
Our safety program is an integral part of our company culture and as a result our employees have won numerous awards. We are proud to be leading the way in Wyoming with regards to OSHA compliance, training, operator certification programs and other common sense programs to ensure our employees safety and reduce risk.
Our Drug Free Workplace is our Number One employee benefit. We support the Coalition Promoting a Drug-free Community and Red Ribbon Week.
S&S Builders, LLC has successfully completed many governmental, commercial, and industrial projects. Our success and growth is attributed to quality of workmanship, meeting or beating our clients’ completion dates, and the long-term relationships we have developed with our customers and employees. Our Key Personnel
Gillette, Wyoming Office
Ron Stoughton – Manager {Shareholder}
Ron has been the Manager of S & S Builders, LLC since 1982. He has twenty-eight years of experience in all phases of construction for residential, commercial, and governmental projects.
Bruce Fuller – Project Manager/Design Coordinator {Shareholder}
Bruce is the team leader for Design-Build projects. He has thirty-five years of construction experience in residential and commercial design and construction. His experience includes office complexes, shopping centers, schools, hospitals, surgery centers, warehouses, and production facilities.
Jason Tystad – Project Manager
Jason is a graduate of the Construction Management program at South Dakota State University. He has performed project management duties with S&S Builders, LLC for two years.
John Pettyjohn – Contract Administrator/Safety Manager
John has thirty-three years of construction supervision experience. His work has primarily involved residential and commercial concrete. He has implemented a strong and reputable safety program, which earned him the Wyoming Contractors Association Safety Excellence Award for 2004, as well as performed his Contract Administration duties.
Jeff Johnson – Project Manager/Professional Engineer {Shareholder}
Jeff has twenty-eight years of experience as project manager, designer, estimator, and owner’s representative for municipal and industrial projects.
Darrel Ray – Commercial Building Superintendent
Darrel has over thirty-seven years of experience in construction, including twenty-two in supervisory positions. He has been the foreman and superintendent for numerous projects in Campbell County, including the construction of Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
Al Tobin – General Field Superintendent {Shareholder}
Al has twenty-nine years of experience, including twenty-one in supervisory positions. His broad experience includes excavating, concrete structures, paving, and all aspects of concrete construction. He has recently completed the Associated General Contractors’ six-year Supervisory Training Program.
Keith Coyle – Project Superintendent {Shareholder}
Keith has twenty-nine years of construction experience, including twenty-six in supervision. His work has primarily been in all phases of concrete work.
Darrel Bousa – Project Superintendent {Shareholder}
Darrel also has twenty-nine years of construction experience, twenty-six being in supervisory positions. He is an experienced operator of our various Gamaco slipforming equipment. His experience includes many concrete structures.
Kurt Countryman – Project Superintendent {Shareholder}
Kurt has nineteen years of experience in construction, including ten in supervision.
Joe Foley – Project Superintendent {Shareholder}
Joe has fifteen years of experience as a superintendent. He has been responsible for layout, erection, and pouring of concrete walls on residential, commercial, and governmental projects.
Lori Manning – Assistant Manager {Shareholder}
Lori has eighteen years of experience in accounting and administration with the last fifteen years focused in construction accounting. She is responsible for oversight of all office administrative functions, accounting, and contracts administration.
Sharon Harrod – Payroll Department Manager {Shareholder}
Sharon has thirteen years experience in the payroll department. She is the benefits administrator.
Cheyenne, Wyoming Office
Rick Potter – Branch Manager, Cheyenne Operations {Shareholder}
Rick has thirty years of experience as a foreman for excavation, forming, paving, and finishing concrete. Operational manager of private, residential, commercial, and governmental construction projects. Manages Branch Office day-to-day operations and over 50 field employees.
Dave Hofer – Project Superintendent {Shareholder}
Dave has thirty years experience as a superintendent for excavation, forming paving, and finishing concrete. He has recently completed the Associated General Contractors’ six-year Supervisory Training Program.
Floyd Meeks – Project Manager/Civil Engineer {Shareholder}
Floyd has twenty-two years of experience as a project manager, estimator, and owner’s representative on governmental, industrial and municipal projects.
Daniel Griego – Project Superintendent {Shareholder}
Daniel has twenty-one years of experience as a superintendent for excavating, forming, paving, and finishing concrete on residential, commercial, and governmental projects.
Jerry Butcher - Project Superintendent {Shareholder}
Jerry has twenty-seven years of supervisory experience for commercial, residential, historic preservation, and major facility maintenance. He is responsible for subcontractor coordination, material/equipment management, and job scheduling.
Merlin Nemitz - Project Superintendent
Merlin has fourteen years supervisory experience with six years as working superintendent and eight years as carpenter foreman. He is responsible for subcontractor coordination, material/equipment management, and job scheduling on residential/commercial building projects.
Sherry Potter – Branch Office Manager {Shareholder}
Sherry has twenty-one years of accounting experience, with the last ten years at S & S Builders, LLC. She is primarily responsible for oversight of all office administrative functions, accounting, and contracts administration for the Cheyenne location.
